Using Firefox with SAS Web Report Studio
If you use Firefox 3.0
or later as your browser, then you should configure Firefox as described
here. Otherwise, you will have problems seeing dialog boxes in SAS
Web Report Studio. You might see dialog boxes, but they will not be
modal. This means that the main window will keep the focus and the
dialog box will be behind the main window. You will be unable to make
any selections in the dialog box.
To set your Firefox
browser options to enable modal dialog boxes, follow these steps:
-
In Firefox, select
ToolsOptions to open the
Options window.
Select the
Content tab if it is not selected
by default.
-
In the
Content tab,
make sure that the
Block pop-up windows check
box is not selected. If this option is selected, then you will not
be able to open any dialog boxes in SAS Web Report Studio, and you
will probably see the following error message:
Error Message for Pop-Up Windows
-
In the
Content tab,
make sure that the
Enable JavaScript check
box is selected. Click
Advanced to open the
Advanced JavaScript Settings dialog box.
-
In the Advanced
JavaScript Settings dialog box, make sure that the following
check boxes are selected:
-
Move or resize existing
windows
-
-
Disable or replace
context menus
These options are required
for modal dialog boxes and context menus to work properly in SAS Web
Report Studio.
Click
OK to
close the dialog box. Then close the
Options window.
If you want to use a
SAS Web Report Studio access key in the Firefox browser, then use
SHIFT+ALT+
access key.
