When
the amount of information that is needed from a server is small (for
example, the value of one variable for 12 records or less), Remote
Library Services (RLS) can be used to move the data to the client
session. When the data is located at the client, the data can be used
in a larger processing task, and the results (for example, reports)
can be transferred by using PROC UPLOAD across the network as required.
