Before you can use a
data source in an information map, you must define the data source
in the SAS Metadata Server. This example uses sample data sets that
are provided with SAS. The sample data sets are typically located
in the
!sasroot\SASFoundation\9.3\core\sample
directory (where
!sasroot
indicates
the directory in which SAS is installed at your location). This example
uses the EMPINFO, JOBCODES, and SALARY data sets in that directory.
Use SAS Management Console
to define a library named SAS Sample Data that points to the directory
that contains the sample data sets. For more information about creating
libraries using SAS Management Console, see the online Help for SAS
Management Console.
For information about
defining metadata, installing and setting up a standard SAS Metadata
Server, or changing the standard configuration options for the SAS
Metadata Server, see the
SAS Intelligence Platform: System Administration Guide.
