Syntax
FILEPROMPT | NOFILEPROMPT
Required Arguments
- FILEPROMPT
-
specifies that you
want to be prompted. The prompt enables you to create the data set
dynamically or to cancel the request. FILEPROMPT is the default value
in the interactive environment.
- NOFILEPROMPT
-
specifies that you
do not want to be prompted. In this case, the data set is not created,
and your LIBNAME or FILENAME statement or function fails.
Details
The FILEPROMPT option
controls whether you are prompted if the physical file that is referenced
in a FILENAME statement or function or in a LIBNAME statement or function
does not exist. This option has no effect in batch mode.
