The FILEFORMS= system
option specifies a default operating environment form using one to
four characters. The default form is used when a printer file is
dynamically allocated if FORMS= is not specified in the FILENAME statement
or FILENAME function.
Comparisons
The
FILEFORMS= option specifies operating environment forms, whereas the
portable FORMS= system option specifies the name of the default form
that is used by the SAS FORM subsystem. For information about the
FORM subsystem and about the FORMS= system option, see Using the PRINT Command and the FORM Subsystem and FORMS= System Option in SAS System Options: Reference.
