The $KANJI
format adds shift-code data to DBCS data that does not have shift-code
data. If the input data is blank, shift-code data is not added.
The $KANJI
format processes host-mainframe data, but $KANJI can be used on other
platforms. If you use the $KANJI format on non-EBCDIC (non-modal encoding)
hosts, the data does not change.
