A TYPE=BOXPLOT data set is created by and used by the BOXPLOT procedure. The data set contains the group summary statistics
and outlier values required for constructing a schematic box plot. Each observation in a TYPE=BOXPLOT data set records the
value of a single feature of one group’s box-and-whiskers plot, such as its mean. Consequently, a TYPE=BOXPLOT data set contains
multiple observations per group. These must appear consecutively in the data set. The _TYPE_
variable identifies the feature whose value is recorded in a given observation. _TYPE_
values of ’N’, ’MIN’, ’Q1’, ’MEDIAN’, ’MEAN’, ’Q3’, and ’MAX ’are required for each group. See Chapter 28: The BOXPLOT Procedure, for details.
