A server-ID specifies
a one- or two-level name for the server that you want to manage. If
you started the server, you should already know its name.
The server name must
meet the criteria for a valid SAS name, but it can also include the
following special characters: dollar sign ($), at sign (@) and pound
sign (#).
The operating environment
and the access method that you specify for communication between a
server session and a user session might also impose server-naming
criteria. For complete server-naming details by operating environment,
see
Communications Access Methods for SAS/CONNECT and SAS/SHARE.
